You can always read my posts in this thread for an answer to both of those statements.

But I'll sum it up for you:

1. I already said a draft pick was too much

2. Whether he affected the play or not is irrelevant. The key thing here is that he tried to affect the play. Otherwise you're saying Tomlin could have ran on the field, tried to actually tackle a runner, but if he misses and the runner scores a TD, it's no big deal.
