Drove right by there this morning and he had plenty. Saw oak and pecan on his sigh for sure. Maybe if you call Ike's they can give you his number. I will ask my wife if she will drive by there on her way home for lunch and get the number.

The key is CURED wood. You can buy GREEN wood in Baton Rouge all day long, but it won't burn.

Oh I know. He has had it split and stacked all summer. Been doing it there for years. Maybe I will get out in a while and go check things out.

No doubt. Stuff I bought wasnt perfectly cured, said it was split a month ago but does the job. once you get a few logs going it burns like a champ.

Nice. Thanks. Now if I can only find out if that guy off bayou manchac still cuts and sells. He gave me a helluva deal last time.

Arinder's Tree Service on Old Hammond has some good wood. We bought some this weekend. $125 for 1/2 a cord. $150 delivered. Nice and seasoned. burned well last night. I will be having it delivered next time. They have oak and pecan. I believe the pecan is about $5 to 10 more per 1/2 cord.

His name is David Schexsnyder (SP)
I've been getting fire wood from him for the past couple years. Super nice guy.
The guy on the other side of the bridge on Bayou Manchac is right outside my neighborhood. If I see his number I'll post it tomorrow.

I'll tell you one thing. Don't pay in full if you ain't got all of your wood. I learned that the hard way this year.
