my boy has been shooting a Marlin youth model 7mm-08 since he was 10. Perfect gun for that age. Also, my wife has gotten back into hunting the last few years and told me she wanted a gun of her own. I bought her a Mossberg youth model 308. Both are very nice guns for the price. Both will group them at 100yds so that you can cover them with a quarter. I think they are both a little over 3 bills.
