legitimately one of my favorite movies. i have never really found the ending or anything that sad or cry worthy. just solid stuff. have seen it probably 10 times.
a walk to remember is way sadder IMO. definitely cry in that one.

The Notebook is great. I also didn't really think it was that sad.
