Is this a must-see film? I just watched it, and I really like it. I'm surprised I've never been ordered to watch it like I have been with so many other films. Opinions on the movie?

Some claim it's overrated. I think it's awesome.

Great movie. Had someone ruin the end for me the first time I watched but it was still great

The movie isn't about Rosebud. It's about Orson Welles reinventing cinema.

Definitely one of the greatest, but its not one of my favorites.

This. People have written dissertations too lengthy to quote here on how this movie changed forever the way films are made. It is simply terrific.

It's a great film due to its technical/directorial aspects. The acting and story isn't anything amazing.

I've watched it a number of times and I enjoy it.
My favorite quote:
Bernstein: A fellow will remember a lot of things you wouldn't think he'd remember. You take me. One day, back in 1896, I was crossing over to Jersey on the ferry, and as we pulled out, there was another ferry pulling in, and on it there was a girl waiting to get off. A white dress she had on. She was carrying a white parasol. I only saw her for one second. She didn't see me at all, but I'll bet a month hasn't gone by since that I haven't thought of that girl.
My favorite scene:
"The Charley Song"

I think it's a great film.
Ahead of it's time, and it gets a lot of love because of that. But not necessarily GOAT IMO.
