It's not as simple as walking into Austin and collecting the crystal (or whatever the trophy will be).
Also, for those who say he wants a new challenge, don't ya'll think winning a few championships with the new playoff system will be enough of a challenge?
He's also putting together one hell of a recruiting class for Bama this season to be leaving.
Just a few thoughts.

Exactly. Of course, he could also just be hedging his bets.

He might stay in Tuscaloosa and this is just him trying to extort a raise, but if he does stay, I guarantee it's not because of his deep connection to the town of Tuscaloosa. That's just silly.
He goes to Texas for the money and the challenge of being the first guy to win a MNC at three different schools, cementing his claim as the greatest coach ever.
He stays at Bama if he gets a big raise and he wants to see his four #1 recruiting classes through. That's right, he's on his way to his fourth straight #1 class, giving him perhaps the most talented team, on paper, in college football history.
