I will not even compare him to the crimson dwarf. We do not even want to go there

But if the dwarf was still in the NFL, would Miles have met the mark?

To my eyes, those expectations are sane and realistic.

I don't have the records in front of me, but if memory serves, the second season after LSU appears in the national title game have been so-so (comparatively). This season and '09 fall into that category. I can't remember '05. Was that the year that ended with a loss to Texas? Anyway, I'm not buying the "decline" talk. At all. If recent history holds, the Tigers will be back to the 11-2 range next season, even better in '15.

Let me ask your question another way: How many years out of 10 do you think LSU should make the four-team playoff.

How would that change anything? No, he would not have, UNLESS he wins a SEC title next year which I highly doubt. Miles has been here 9 years. We are using a miles 10 year tenure as the example here. Not sure why you are referring to Nicky Bling.

Unless you want to use his 3 NC's in the last 4 years as a comparator. Or his 3 NC's in 6 years as well. This year being his 7th year.
