To say he is a horrible coach is dishonest because that's simply not true. To say I am happy with him isn't honest either, and I do hope LSU gets some new blood in who isn't a player's coach and is more of a disciplinarian.

I think he's won with supreme talent that he also struggles to prepare and motivate. As a result they lose to teams of equal or better talent (Bama, Clemson) or fall flat against teams they should dominate (Ole Miss) because they feel no matter how they play they will win.

He's a great player coach and his guys love playing for him, but he's not a good coach to lead a team into battle. His methods are old fashioned and outdated for today's game.

He kept pulling me back in. I was pretty sure I was done after the LSU-Bama championship game, and then again after the Clemson embarrassment. After the way we played against Ole Miss this year, I realized there was no reason to suspect it will get better under him.

I consider myself an eternal optimist, especially when it comes to LSU football. But I have to sort of agree with you here. I'm not ready to cut the cord just yet, but a lot will hinge on how this HUGE approaching Signing Day goes. I also really feel like next year is (at least for me) a bit of a "shite or get off the pot" kind of year. If we lay an egg against an Ole Miss type and end up with 4 straight losses to Bama and three straight disappointing seasons... It'll be really hard to continue to get behind Les.
