I guess I'm one of the few here that can actually admit that the staff dropped the ball on this one. Sims should have been offered if for nothin more to increase your chances with CRob. Since the staff has been recruiting CRob since 9th grade then it shouldn't be to hard to figure out who his close friends are. But its part of recruiting it happens. No sense in crying over spilled milk.

Well if we end up giving our last spot to an under the radar 'type' kid instead of a true stud then i will agree with you. then it would have been a bad decision.. until then we shall see

I disagree. If we had to offer everyone's friend just to get them to commit we would only get half of the guys we actually wanted. I applaud the staff for not caving in to this. We shouldn't pull anyone else's scholly who actually wants to be here. Just my 2 cents.

Offer a liability at the position due to speed and also risk the chance of losing an in-state kid who is better at the position all for one kid.

So what happens when Sims accepts then CRob still goes to Bama? Lose-lose.

318Boss I agree with you. It is not like Sims is a scrub! They should have offered Sims. We cannot continue to let top talent leave without putting up much of a fight. Especially to Bama!

Then he will be sorely disappointed when Sims doesn't qualify and is playing at ULM next yr
