the odd thing is, it's not like he's played poorly. He's just too old to be a prospect and he has no real upside. But look at his numbers this year in two games and one start:

22/34, 64.7%, 246 yds, 7.24 Y/A, 83.7 RAT

Not elite, but not bad. Look at his rate stats. If he had enough attempts to qualify, he'd rank 6th in completion percentage, 16th in Y/A, and 18th in passer rating. He's essentially a mediocre starter in a market in which everyone is looking for either a high end starter or a project.
