Les Miles: Give that man a raise?

OK, I predicted a 55-17 Bama score a few days ago, and it turns out I wasn't too far off; in fact, I called it perfectly for LSU. As an alum and lifelong Tiger fan, my stomach turned to make such a call, but I've been following LSU a very long time and saw it coming.
I must say congrats to the BAMA Nation. They wanted to be king of the college football mountain so bad that went after one of the best, if not the best, college football coaches in America while vowing to spare no expense to entice him to T-town. It's paying dividends and then some.
So, where does LSU, likely Bama's toughest opponent, go from here? Stay the course? Or want to be king more than Bama does? It really comes down to that. LSU's program is highly profitable; proof is Miles' successive salary increases. He doesn't have to bring home trophies (he's 5-3 in the postseason, but 1-3 in the last four); he merely needs to keep doing what he has been. The school administration is happy. But what about the LSU Nation, without whom the program would not see a dime?
Should we be happy with the state of the LSU FB program? LSU played in 2 MNCGs in the last 6 seasons, and yes, that is under LEM. I am torn -- read that last sentence again.
Is Louisiana's high school football soil really the most fertile in the country, and the right "farmer" need only come and till it?
Is Les Miles the best LSU can do?
Here's LEM's record w/(post season W/L). Draw your own conclusions/narrative from it.
2005 11-2 (W-Peach)
2006 11-2 (W-Sugar)
2007 12-2 (W-BCS NCG)
2008 8-5 (W-Chick-fil-A)
2009 9-4 (L-Cap One) <-Chavis hired in Jan of this year
2010 11-2 (W-Cotton)
2011 13-1 (L-BCS NCG)
2012 10-3 (L-Chick-fil-A)

No matter how many times you change your post title the farmer analogy still sucks.

I'm a card carrying member of the positiger community and I hated that he leveraged us for a raise. He didn't deserve one.

I too predicted 55-17 so I'm actually thrilled we played well enough to keep the game within four touchdowns against a far superior program like Bama. I also predicted a 9-3, 8-4 season with another Chicken Bowl appearance, and right now they have met my expectations, which certainly means Miles is doing a great job and deserves a raise.

Thats 2.6 losses per year average, NOT counting this year (which he is up to 3 already).
