Don't get it twisted. The kid loves LSU, but wants to play rb. Spencer ware type back.....would love to see it work out, but understand both parties' position.

why aren't we signing him for RB?

I think we are just being honest and don't want to promise him something we can't assure him. Also, want to make site we can get following:

2014
Fournette
Palelei

2015
Brossette
Guice

3 of these guys are top 5 backs in their respective class. Williams is really a baller. He's playing as well as any back in the state....,yes, he's playing better than fournette, but against some different competition.

I don't think the dad has a bad attitude, I think he's just being straight up about the situation. The kid is a running back, and every major school is recruiting him at that position. That's the position that fits him and it makes no sense for him to change to another position just so he can go to LSU. Think it would be a great idea to have him along with Fournette and paleilie, considering we likely lose Blue, Hilliard, and Hill. Hope he goes to LSU, but if not I can understand the position issue.

If he thinks he is a running back and he wants a guarantee that Les can't provide then he should move on. Maybe he is right or maybe he is wrong. It's his decision to make. I wish him the best. Looking at the depth chart for next year I have to believe Les is confident in signing LF.

Honestly who gives a frick. The kid is not that good of an rb. He can break a lot of tackles but is slow as molasses in the winter time. His head coach has been padding his stats all year.

Man, my opinion is totally the opposite after seeing his film.

He isn't a burner, but I'd take another Spencer Ware.

You, my friend, are wrong. This kid is great. He does not have great top end speed, but he is quick, especially his first step. This kid is really not much different than Spencer Ware.

I cant believe we go with 3 RBs next year? McGee, Fournette and Paleli coming off surgery. Am I missing someone and are you all positive he isnt being offered at RB?

Why take another Spencer Ware? Ive seen both play in person and Spencer is way faster than him. He does break a lot of tackles i will give him that tho. Saw him in the scrimmage with St. Aug and was not impressed. He ran a fricking 4.7 comon man

Is Brazil officially done? I heard Williams was a take at rb on that condition.

Eddie George and Bo Jackson say hello. Both were being recruited at positions other than RB. Both said no to those schools that wouldn't play them at RB. I think it turned out well for both of those guys. I'm not saying DW is EG or BJ, just pointing out a similarity in situations.

LSU could use another RB and Williams isn't a scrub so I say Frank should give him a call and offer him as a RB

Andrew Lopez ?@_Andrew_Lopez 3m

Darrel Williams post game: "I want to play RB (in college). That's all I've played since I was 6. I want to be a running back."
