Is it your position that the N.O. economy has not improved in the last five years? Is it your position that there has not been an influx of younger professionals in the last five years? Who is living in the thousand new units of upscale housing created in the downtown area (don't make the mistake of tossing out the subsidized housing /Section 8 argument, I'm ready for it in spades

I am no economic expert, but I do participate and make a living in the real estate sales and investment market in the Metro area as well as having lived through regentrification of neighborhoods and areas in NYC and London. I've lived through it there and I'm living through it here. It is palpable and the numbers agree with me...to say otherwise is just silly and smacks of petty, ingrained emotion. No one is arguing that there is no progress to be made with crime and infrastructure , but to dismiss what is happening makes no sense and denotes cognitive dissonance. All this crap because Jessica Lange said something nice about New Orleans. You haters are small.
