Well, in my defense...my power amp is solid state (Rocktron). My ADA MP-2 Digital preamp has 12AX7A tubes. I does have some pretty great tones. I have an Alesis Quadraverb 2 for effects (which is pretty ok).
I thought about just getting a rack mount tube power amp like a Carvin, Boogie, or Marshall...but I think the Mark V will serve me for the next twenty years.

No way to simulate getting the power section cooking. Good pickup though, will be loud as hell to get the best rock tones. Mesa eq sections are a little tricky so you'll have to do a lot of tweaking...
