Do another PA pass and take a crack downfield. That was the one rare situation where a PA would have had some credibility.

Despite the desperate situation, there were a few plays where I was laughing my arse off as Brees tried to sell a PA on 3rd and 17 or some such play.

This is a huge problem of mine and really indicates that there's a bigger problem at hand. Are you telling me Payton really thinks our run game is effective enough that teams will respect our PA? We just look fricking goofy continuing to force that. How we haven't just changed to a spread most of the time and run out of that baffles me. Really just pisses me off honestly.

I count some O-line help as the biggest need on the team right now. That said, they are not epically bad. We're used to Top 5ish in sacks allowed. They're 14th now with 20 sacks allowed. Average. If ya want epically bad that would be Miami (who some think getting Incognito, if available, would be a good move). Their 35 allowed so far projects to 70 in a season (wow).

how bout these records... Hard to conceive that many in a single season-

Eagles 1986 104 allowed
AZ 1997 78
Hou '02 76

THAT is epically bad.
