Art Briles, Chris Peterson, Cam???

I know bye weeks leaves more time to reflect, and also dream about what's best for the future of the program.
My concern is that Saban probably stays for awhile. Texas may throw more money at him soon, but I'm sure Bama raises him to stay put. I don't think they even have to match a Texas offer because running a top program in the SEC trumps running a future top program in the Big 12. Therefore, what is the best way we can match him with a future HC?
When looking at what Briles has done at Baylor, with or without an RG3, and with virtually no real blue chippers. The competitiveness he shows by setting a tone for the teams to play up tempo, all the time, and the brilliance in which they execute, along with the passion in which they play with is unmatched considering the personnel they line up with. They don't even know how to take their foot off the gas. I can only imagine what that kind of mindset would result in when instilled here.
I know Texas will come calling for him soon, but you would have to think if we if showed an interest in him, we'd surely have the upper hand as far as the best situation possible for immediate success, and under the biggest spotlight, especially considering his age.
And then Peterson is still out there, Cam, maybe even a Kingsbury even though he's probably not ready for this big of a stage just yet. The point being, as loveable of a guy, and as good of a players coach as Les is, we have to really think in terms of staying competitive with Saban/Bama.
It pains me to admit that we must think in terms of trying to stay competitive with Bama. But in reality, a win over the gumps right now would be considered a huge upset.
Starting with Les, we must, out of the love of this program and it's future, look at who's out there that would give us that advantage back, so that we can not only stay competitive with, but get back that advantage and keep that way for the future.

As soon as I saw Art Briles and Chris Peterson I knew this was a flaming troll attempt

Tons of money and a Private Jet at Texas trumps anything the Gumps can provide.

We are one of the few teams in the nation that is competitive with this coach and his team.
This thread sucks.

If you think we are as well coached and prepared as the gumps are, you are not living in reality. If will take a huge upset to beat them next Saturday! What does that tell you, hello!

Is that the most intelligent advice you could come up with while trolling? At least you successfully formed a three word sentence!

Les is here for at least 6 more years.
It is what it is.
It is what it is.

Saban is 62 or 63 years old. He mostly probably will remain competitive for only 2 or 3 more years.
He may coach for 10 more, but will start sliding in 2 or 3. It happens to everyone.
We could get 5 more good years out of Miles, however he could already be sliding downhill - see Mack Brown, S. Superior

What a frick-tard.
So 99% of the schools in the nation need a football coach then?
Give me a list of schools that have been as competitive or more competitive with Alabama over the last 5 years than LSU.
I would contend that LSU has been the biggest thorn in Alabama's side over the last 5 years...and it ISN'T EVEN CLOSE.
But that is ok. Let's go after the video game coach in Art Briles....or the 2-hit wonder that is Chris Peterson. That will improve the program in a heartbeat

I think it would be a lot easier just to replace you as a fan. I have several Texas friends who would give their left nut if their school was anywhere close to be where LSU has been for the last 12 years. You are easily replaceable as a fan and it wouldn't cost LSU anything. If you have season tickets, which I doubt, we have more than enough on the waiting list to buy your tickets.
I drive 920 miles RT for every home game. Do you? I have been attending LSU games since 1968, have you? I can tell you, we don't need you in our stands.
Starting with you, out of the love of this program and it's future, we must look at which fans are out there that would give us that advantage back, so that we can not only stay competitive with, but get back that advantage and keep that way for the future.
Do us a favor - please resign and give up your LSU admiration. It will be easier on you and on us.
