Need some help trying to get some information on something that my grandmother used to cook when I was a kid. It was some kind of greens that she used to smother like mustard greens. It grew wild down here in south La and we used to call it "Morell". I have no idea the actual spelling because I have never seen it written. Anyone have any idea what I'm talking about? My sister said that she thinks knightshade is a more common name for it but that is just a large group of plants and I couldn't find what I'm referring to.

Thanks that would be it. I kind of remember it being said that it was poisonous if you cooked it wrong or something to that effect. All of the old people in my family were french speaking first and the actual term I was looking for is "morelle noire," but we just said "morelle."
