Unfortunately some of those guys also have some folks around them filling their heads with "oh you'll get drafted higher" and shite like that. Daniel Orton is a good example of someone who should've stayed a year to get some PT (he was never going to play over Demarcus Cousins) but his Dad had him convinced he was better than Cousins and should leave early.

To be fair Orton sucked and might've ended up like J'Mison Morgan if he stayed. And he did get drafted in the 1st so it wasn't just his dad blowing smoke up his arse.

Orton is the perfect example of why guys should leave early. Orton's been in the league for three years. It's clear he won't be there much longer, and probably time to start thinking about Plan B.

Guess what, though? He starts Plan B after having made $2.8 million. There was no guarantee of that type of money had he stayed at UK to get his degree.
