f anything, that article proved how truly great Manning is. Sorgi mentioned he could give the defense the playbook, let them know what routes were coming, and they still couldnt be stopped because of how crisp the execution is.

Well, that would mean something if I said, "Manning wasn't great." But that's not what I said.

There's a difference between "execution" and everyone claiming it's Manning's mental acumen and games which make him great.

People have been spouting Manning is some genius at the line and running this complex offense. - It simply ISN'T TRUE.

People say Manning is a genius because he can diagnose exactly what the defenses scheme is, even if it's disguised, in less than 10 secs, then adjust accordingly. The complexity or lack therof of the offense isnt what makes Manning great. He recognizes a weakness and attacks it. QB's dont struggle with offensive schemes in the NFL. They struggle with what the defense is trying to do to them.

The article doesn't even refute that. It states multiple times that part of why the limited plays were so successful was Manning's ability to read the defense and change the play. I think your personal bias issues are clouding your judgement here bro. And FWIW I don't remember many people claiming that the Colts were running some incredibly complex offense. I had heard the 15 play thing repeatedly though
