I was depressed when my grandparents died. This football shite is small potatoes in the grand scheme of things.

Did I compare what I was feeling to a death in life. Re-read the post just to check and make sure, nope didn't compare it to death or any other travesty's in life. I didn't put a level of depression on what I was feeling just it is bumming me out. Then again I did state to you I am an alumni of the school and do have emotions tied up in the feelings. In the grand scheme of life it is just a football game and I understand it, doesn't mean you can't express or feel emotions of disappointment when you feel them. Sky isn't falling and there are much worse things in life that can happen, but if someone is not happy with the outcome of the game on Saturday I understand the feeling.

Stop watching when its gets close/frick ups occur/contested....this will leave you feeling somewhat better....leave the DVR on of course to watch the victories/erase the defeats.

Of course, if you follow this prescription, you may not get to see many of our games this season.

I feel you, bro, but, IMHO, your mind is in the wrong place. You have a LOT more emotion tied up in this thing than most of the people in the LSU football program, IMHO.

Fans see these games differently than do the coaches, administrators and some players. Fans put a LOT more emotion into it.

And as for these bad losses to lesser teams, it is going to happen to LSU occasionally. LSU is not a pro football organization, it is not run by pro football people, it is not run LIKE a pro football organization, and the people running LSU football are not accountable like pro football people are accountable.

Coach Miles wins 80 percent of his games, but, he will always have games like this one, from time to time. He's a good coach. If he were a GREAT coach, the NFL would come calling, and he would have his team ready to play every game.

He's a good earner, and, IMHO, the LSU football powers-that-be are happy with that.

Ok, but like someone else said, the actual players don't get bummed out like that. They go home, frick their girlfriends, play video games and smoke weed. This is how a great deal of football players roll, even the best ones. No reason why you should be more invested in the outcome than they are. Enjoy the games, detach yourself from the outcome. I know that a great deal of that last game sucked, but it was exciting when they were coming back. Take the good from it.
