I don't even think a FBS would bus a team that far to play Alcorn..

Has anyone asked why the university put itself in this position in the first place? Why the hell did they bus players 20+ hours round trip to Indianapolis to play Alcorn?
Because they play in all these stupid "classics" in Chicago, Indianapolis, Orlando, etc. I'm sure the schools make money off of these classic, but the benefit is probably offset by the fact that they have to transport and board football teams roughly 1000 miles away from where they are located. It would be like La.Tech and Southern Miss deciding that it was a good idea to go play a game against each other in Seattle.
Sorry, I just can't feel that bad for the university. There are hundreds of small schools all over this country that have no where near the funding of LSU, Alabama, Texas, etc., etc., but yet they somehow figure out a way to make things work on their limited budgets. Probably not to this extent, but every year, it seems like a few HBCUs are having some kind of internal issue within their administration and athletic dept. Hell, just look at Southern. It's been a disaster internally since Pete Richardson was fired
