IMO, there could be a few things done to help. You're always going to have problems with over 100,000 leaving anything, anywhere at the same time,but....

How feasible would it be to "three lane" Nicholson to Bluebonnet? That way the middle lane would be the 'contra flow' lane west bound using it going to the game and east bound flowing after the game.

This would apply to Burbank traffic, too. What about LSU buying some land off Nicholson and Burbank for parking lots and have busses running before and after the game. Yes,that would be costly and only used really 8 days a year, but LSU football is a business and a quite healthy one.

When LSU played Washington in Seattle parking was free for 4 or more people on car. I think I was $20 for three people and $30 for less than three.

I think something like that would encourage carpooling and greatly reduce the traffic on campus. I know our tailgate everyone comes at different times. 6 couples may have 5 different car out there because they guys want to get there to set up and the wives don't show up until much later.

It will take a combo approach of mass transit and encouraging car pooling; there's just to many vehicles for the infrastructure.

I hate when I see an elderly couple in the sixties/seventies parking way down Burbank and starting to walk towards the stadium.
