We eat about 6 deer a year. I try to let the wife and kids do most of the shooting, but last year they let me down. So, I had to hunt hard during duck season to fill the freezer.

Power surge at my house a few weeks ago tripped the breaker my freezer was on, wife didn't check when the power came back on and the meat I had in the freezer had too be thrown out.
Wasn't much but it still was 2 packs of back straps, 3 packs of deer hamburger, a pack of deer sausage, 1 hindquarters, and 1 roast along with some other food in the freezer.
