Who is everyone starting with?
Never went with a grass type as a starter pokemon, but using Cheepin now. Mainly because I will concentrate on Charizard and Blastoise later for Mega forms.

I started with Froakie and picked up Charmander later on. My first catch was Pidgey and he evolved into Pidgeotto last night. Then after the next battle Charmander evolved into Charmeleon. Training and watching those two evolve reminded me how much I love this series.
Plus the customization of your character and interactions you have with your Pokemon outside of battle are HUGE upgrades. I'm having fun with it. Nintendo always goes balls to the wall with Pokemon games but they went over and beyond with this game. It will be the first time I've ever bought both editions because I'm genuinely excited to see what Y is like after I'm done with X.
