I didn't enjoy the ending, I felt like it would have been a better movie if the ending was different.

I don't feel that at all. While 2001 was about humanity and its dependence on tools, I'd say that Gravity is about life and its struggle to survive and eventually adapt. Without that final scene, I don't think it would have come off as well.

Finally caught Gravity last night on Imax 3D and really enjoyed it. It was beautiful and rejuvenated my childhood dream of going to space. It made me remember how I felt when I went to the Smithsonian.

Some of it felt pushed, like Bullock talking to her kid and Matt as she "ene meany miny mo" the buttons, but overall I thought it was ok as far as character and acting.

Probably wouldn't go see it again, but will definitely check it out on my 60" 3D in Blu Ray.
