I think TV deals are the main reason for the decline in attendance (nationwide). I also think it will get worse before it gets better.


You can bet your arse that if there's a game worth a flip, it will be televised in glorious HD. That used to not be the case years ago. I think so many fans are more "tuned into" college football in general, and going to the game means you miss a lot of football on TV.

For everyone who keeps saying lsu won't implement any of these ideas due to increased costs, how is showing game breaks during some of the TV timeouts costing them a cent more? Hell they could get someone to sponsor it and generate even more revenue.
