re: This Tiger Stadium problem was years in the making (long)

I can say for sure that the sun and heat was intense for a Oct. afternoon today, especially east side, but the other reasons for empty seats are simply it was a forgone conclusion by some of our esteemed fan base that we would cakewalk over this UF team since favored by 10 in some parleys so why even bother right? Plus was a dreaded 2:30 day game and as said before very warm. Some don't realize the Gators were #1 D in SEC and since we were favored this team would just roll over and die for us, forget this is a SEC team with 4 and 5 star recruits like us still in hunt for BCS contention. Also, as others stated the comforts of TV viewing sometimes trump going in these conditions, I enjoy this sometimes too. Just glad I got to experience the old days before TV exploitation created this scenario.
