Unbelievable.

Ed Orgeron is set to hire Pete Jenkins, the longtime LSU d-line coach.

Perhaps he is envisioning La. recruiting consequences? Otherwise, I'm not sure what he is referring to.

It says he's to join the coaching staff. The thread title made me think he got hired as the head coach.

For six weeks? Orgeron will be out of there himself by Thanksgiving.

Why? To me, maybe its because Jenkins "retired" 50 time already it seems like.

Though, I love him. Dude's the best D-Line coach there is.

When he departed Saban's staff at LSU after the 2001 season he said he was done then.

This man was truly born to be a coach and will forever be a Tiger!!

Cause LSU would have wanted him to work longer than 2 months

Mr Chemistry himself, ask Mike Archer how good a coach PJ is...having said this, always heard most players loved him...

That just means you're an idiot. No need to change the title.

SC people are pretty excited about the hire. He's very well respected, and this will free CEO up from his current DL obligations. Great move, IMHO.

We love Coach O. If we manage to stay above .500 with the sanctions we're dealing with, I'll be pretty impressed. In the interim, he's a positive presence, and he's a lot more of a people person than LFK-bro is.

He's also a pretty damned good recruiter, and we need that more than ever right now.
