Can we all agree now that Mett should have started from day 1 in 2011?

Go ahead and tell me how JL/JJ gave us the best chance to win.

I understood the decision to go this route but I never agreed with it.

Just imagine Mett with another year of SEC experience.

But if he had the year last year that he is having this year he might be in the pros now and we'd be breaking in a true freshman QB.

I agree with you but it could have gone the opposite way too.

He have just as easily could have started from day one and succumbed to the pressure

I like Mett and he has done a good job but its Cam that has the offense turned around.

Jarrett Lee should have started in 2009.
And 2010.

Given we had no decent OC, Mett probably would have had a career ending injury or concussions and not even be playing today had he started in 2011. I like him the way he is in 2013.

2012 #80 47.1 QBR (JFF as #1 had a 90.5 as reference)
2013 #04 90.9 QBR

Without Cameron I don't know if it would have mattered.

No. He wasn't particularly great last year after having a year to learn the system. We had championship hopes in 2011 and Jarrett Lee stepped in, played well enough to keep those hopes alive.

Yes, but it was a case of don't tinker with what's working in 2011. Except that we did tinker with it and benched JL. Something I will never get and probably my only real gripe with CLM.

I didn't think Mett was very good in 2012, mostly from lack of coaching. Certainly could've used some meaningful playing time in 2011 though: and of course Miles is doing the same exact thing with Jennings: go in and handoff. So next year will be an adventure.

I thi I we can all agree that the OC situation should've been solved sooner. Should've had a new OC start in 2012. I understand the kragthorpe thing was unexpected in 2011.

No. He wasn't ready. And we still went undefeated without him. Come on man.

A less-experienced Mettenberger without Cam? I'll take my chances with that cluster-frick we had.
