Will smith also turned down The Matrix for Wild Wild West.
Also i read somewhere Tommy Lee Jones was offered either a lump sum or a % of the revenue for Men In Black and he chose the lump sum which was a multi hundred million dollar mistake. He said something to the effect that everyone thought the movie would flop so he took the guaranteed money.
