What about Loston playing linebacker and let him rush th qb.
He looks to be too stiff and not quick enough to play db.
We have enough undersized linebackers as it is. Loston is not a bad safety, but watching the replay it's clear that they have communication problems in the secondary and it caused him to be out of position several times. Don't understand how things can get so out of control back there with him being a senior leader who should know the defense inside and out. He also would have to wrap the ball carrier and not worry about making the big hit, causing him to whiff on the tackle.

Welter's inability to move laterally is killing the defense. He can't get to out routs and he can't cover quick slants... uga absolutely ate him up alive. LB play can't get any worse, so I don't see any reason why they wouldn't throw beckwith out there who has all the talent in the world and let him play

You mean like when Les Miles had JJ play QB the entire NCG against Bama and didn't even give Jarrett Lee a chance?
JL had his chance in Tuscaloosa and, frankly, he played like a freshman. the off the back foot, scared of contact pop fly passes were something the staff could not put their trust in any more. we all wish it could have been different for both JL and JJ. the truth is, in a close game the staff felt they had to go with JJ...warts and all.
let it go.
get better, get ready...get even.

It's shows that you're reaching when you have to go back 2 years to support your argument. Like a previous poster said, let it go man

If we take Loston away from the safety spot we instantly become better, due to him not missing assignments, or taking bad angles. He is also about to get ejected for those missle like tackles.
He would be fine in the middle with Beckwith to plug up holes and hit people hard. The RB's know that Welter will be dancing with a OL rather than in the hole waiting to wiff on them.

Okay! Who on defense played good? What position. Kwon made a couple of nice tackles, but who else? Why pick on one guy when all of them came up short?

We gonna put Loston at DE and Welter at safety. Just to see.

Cam showed in one year what good coaching can do. Chavis is sliding.
Idiot!
Cam has an experienced offense loaded with returning starters. Chavis has a defense that only returned four starters. You think that might have something to do with it?

If he just turns around to look at the ball more he would have a couple of picks by now. Especially the 1st TD vs UGA

No. He was beat. The pass was good. His coverage sucked on the 1st TD. His ball skills didn't even have a chance to suck

What about we let the guys who get paid millions and know what they are doing do what they think is right. I have a funny feeling they know more about our personnel and who needs to be where than the collective rambling thoughts of the rant members
You sure about that? I mean Chavis has never ever once made someone change positions, especially from DB to LB or vice versa......

Ok, I put Loston at MLB on my NCAA game during lunch and he dominated. Beat Georgia 48-17. That was the difference. I say we do it.

I think compared to previous years, Loston has gotten soft this year.
