I have had some great food at Texas St. Tavern but I like the atmosphere at 2johns more.
Quick story on Tx St. Tavern. After BP spill in gulf, we went for wifes b'day and ordered oysters. They informed us that they we serving pacific oysters due to spill. We agreed that was fine. When they got the the table I ate one and realized they were bad. Real fishy and couldn't finish it. Not sure if anyone has had these pacific oysters but i won't order them again from anywhere. One reason I may favor 2johns.

Taking the lady there tonight for her birthday. I have been meaning to try it out and see how it compares to Silver Star and Saltgrass.
