Hitchcock movies on TCM this past weekend

Had a movie fest with my kids this weekend. We watched 3 Hitchcock films - Rebecca, Strangers on a Train, and Notorious.
My 13 year old daughter really liked them. I had to explain the subtle sexual nuances of Ingrid Bergman's character in Notorious, but the suspense in each film still keeps modern audiences captivated!
She got excited when she recognized the voice of actor George Sanders who plays Jack Favell in Rebecca as that of the tiger, Shere Khan in The Jungle Book.
I thought that Joan Fontaine was probably much too pretty to play the role of the new wife in Rebecca, since she is supposed to be intimidated by the remembrance of the more beautiful Rebecca, who is never shown.
Here's a pic of Fontaine in Suspicion:
Nevertheless, she carried off the role very convincingly.

My first time seeing Rebecca... I really enjoyed it and hitchcock did an awesome job of hiding where this movie was going.
Mrs Danvers...
One of the creepiest characters ever!!!

Wow she's good.
Do you have amazon prime? There's a few more you could show her. More than Netflix.
If she loved those three then she's really going to like most of them then.
I had my 8 year old nephew watch Dial M for Murder (my personal favorite), and he was tuned In the whole time. Asking a few questions along the way. After it was over, he looked at me a d was like "so did they get him?" He wasnt following it quite as well as I thought he was. My 11 year old niece loved it. And watch North by Northwest the next night by herself.

Sundays with Hitch was all month of September, and it was great!
Good for you for watching the best network on TV, and even better for you for sharing it with your kids.
TCM is amazing.

3 of his top 5 IMO. Vertigo and Psycho, two flawless movies, are probably his two best but Strangers has quickly become my personal favorite. Very rewatchable in my book...they all are really.
