Isn't Dodd like a 1-2 months late on this? Whatever. :beatdeadhorse:

"But I just can't get the episode out of my mind." :beatdeadhorse:
Talk about obsessing over something. I would love to have these comments get back to Dodd because truly he is the one that needs help obsessing over this.
First what Hill did was wrong, but my god it was a fight. Was it a sucker punch? Yes it was. Was it a pussy act thing to do? Yes it was. Was it an act that deserved punishment? Yes it did and that happened. But please Dodd take it into context. When I was at LSU I worked at the 2 biggest bars at LSU when the legal drinking age was 18. All the athletes went to the bars where I worked and over the season I truly can't even count how many fights there were that involved athletes. Does it make it right? No, but people make mistakes and when caught they pay for those mistakes. It was the wrong thing to do, he sucker punched someone. He should have to make restitution, he did, and he should have a punishment that FITS the crime. The ramification for Hill besides his suspension for a game is he is now officially on a short leash and he knows that. Hopefully the kid is smart enough to understand that and to be a leader on the team and stay out of trouble, but getting kicked off the team for getting into a fight doesn't fit the crime.
Dodd you are a dumb-arse, let it go because it is a dead issue with the victim, the head coach, the team and the student body. Understand if Hill gets in trouble again the consequences will be more dire. But he served his punishment he deserves a 2nd chance.
Regarding his troubles prior to LSU, we can't punish him for that he was not a student at the time. Now should LSU have allowed him to come to LSU because of those troubles, well that might be a better story for you than the one you want to beat to :beatdeadhorse:
LSU has to stand for something more. A dangerous precedent has been set here. What happens to the next Tigers player who is charged with a crime?
Mathieu - a Heisman trophy finalist was kicked off the team!!
Perrilloux - our starting QB for the following year was kicked off the team
Dodd you think Miles and LSU are push-overs? Maybe you should ask the athletes that question I will bet you they answer NO!
