Mizzou falls next. The 4 leading candidates are definitely Alabama, FSU, Oregon & Baylor to play against the Bucks in the BCS Championship.

OSU will get crushed by any of the other top 3 teams

The good news for Big Ten fans is help in on the way. In order to boost the Big Ten rep, they are inviting two new powerhouses into their conference.
Rutgers who has one win in American Athletic Conference play & Maryland who is 1-3 in ACC play.

Yep. BCS title game will be Bama vs. FSU or Oregon.

If LSU somehow manages to beat Bama, I think they still get in the NC before OSU.

It's Bama and someone else.

I think you are underestimating the media love of Bama. A loss to LSU in two weeks would drop them to no worse than #5.

I can't believe I just read this.

I'm not underestimating anything. There's just no chance that would happen.

I'm not advocating that they would deserve it, but I have no faith in Espn not to push Bama.

The ESPN network aren't the coaches nor the coaches poll, so even with that love for Bama, they don't have a foot in the door for determining the BCS. The AP counts for nothing.

If Alabama loses to LSU, they will be the highest-ranked one-loss team.
1) Oregon
2) Florida State
3) Ohio State
4) Baylor
5) Alabama
You forget that Stanford will also probably lose two days before to Oregon. Miami will lose next week to Florida State. There won't be that many teams left for them to drop behind. They'd absolutely be in the top 5 still.
ETA: Baylor plays at Oklahoma that Thursday too. If they lose, Alabama falls to #4 IMO.

I'm not doubting the top 5 comment. I'm laughing at the comment of Alabama being put into the NCG with one loss over an undefeated Buckeyes squad.

That very likely wouldn't happen. You're right.
However, it could be a lot closer than you think.
I think Oregon and Florida State are both going undefeated anyway, so all the 1-loss teams are shite out of lucky. And Ohio State and Baylor too.

Oregon on the ropes. Let's see how this plays out, but it's looking like one our contenders might only be between Alabama, FSU, or Baylor
