Freeman has been doing the suck for years, This is Schiano's second year. Of course Freeman is going to get benched before Schiano get's fired. The offense is still a mess, but at least the defense is good again.

Correct. Schiano is a defensive guy. He and the front office have collectively turned the defense around.

He may get another year here. Especially depending on how the coaching market is looking in a few months.

The organization's biggest mistake was getting rid of Dungy. It did get the owners their Super Bowl win however it could certainly be said that Dungy could have done the same and would still have the team in the hunt every year to this date.

Really? I thought Dungy was a bit overrated as a coach. I think you can make the case that it was a mistake getting rid of Gruden.

Dungy was an excellent coach for the Bucs, but they weren't going to win a Superbowl with him.

Gruden definitely gave them what they needed to get over the hump.

Gruden's effectiveness after that SB is definitely debatable.

It was the right move at the time, though. I'll take the ring and the inconsistency that has followed over consistently losing in the playoffs.

And there's no telling how effective Dungy would have been once the studs on Tampa's D started aging, and/or contracts ran out.
