It's an ABC show, it was only a matter of time before it became a comic book version of Grey's Anatomy/Private Practice. By season 4 Coulson will be banging Simmons and Skye will be lesbo.

...not that I've ever watched those other shows or anything... Hey, I try to keep my wife(no pics) happy. She puts up with the considerable amount of time I devote to football and being a nerd

I'm just saying I wouldn't have expected it to be those two.

This show has gotten better, but I didn't really care for last night.

Yeah I hear ya. I thought the "she needs to get laid" line

What didn't you like? I thought the continued tie-in with Thor 2 was nice and the further development of main characters was also a focus of the episode. I also liked how they showed a normal person not fully comprehending the changing universe that now has aliens and realms and possibilities beyond what her faith made her see.

Muspelheim would be the only reasonable explanation with the portrayal of the red and him saying he was in hell, but hel is another possible location.

Bump for this week.
I really enjoyed this episode. A lot of time spent on character development, digging further into Coulson's death, plus quite a bit of action.
The previews for the episodes after the break look promising. I think feedback from fans after the first few episodes has been productive. Hopefully the upward trend continues.

I have something I need to get off my chest...

I can't fricking stand Skye. If she's not in a wet dress, a bikini or some form of underwear then I wish they would just put her in the corner and shut her the frick up. The value she adds to the team makes her about as useful as Ensign Ricky, all she needs is a red shirt.

Maybe it's just this particular episode but it seems that as time goes on with this series she's the character I care least about. I hope she spends the rest of the series crying in her damned cubby-hole.

Did she kick your dog? Man, thats a lot of hostility toward a television character.

I think what is annoying me about her is they are building the series around her and she spent the entirety of this episode whining or crying and it really drove the point home how hard the writers are having to work to make her have some level of utility.

She's worthless as anything other than eye candy. Just a smidge of character expansion for any of the other characters and they could take over her spot as the "heart" of the team while still bringing a needed skillset.

To be fair, this is Coulson.

I think her background is building to something big. They keep eluding to the "truth" about her parents and Coulson said something to May about "the agent that delivered her to the orphanage". I think her being there is deeper than all that and they are taking their time to let it out.

Well right now she seems to be doing a lot of the heavy lifting in background checks and status updates for the team. She's trying to earn her spot. She's definitely written to go against the grain, and I can understand that annoying some people. It just doesn't bother me.

My point exactly. They have been setting her up as the emotional compass for the team, but Colson already has that as well as being the center of the team and the leader.

She gets far too much focus for her limitations, imo.

I agree, they need to keep her on a computer gathering intel. She can be a valid asset, but they've put too much focus on her from time to time.

I think both of you missed the point of my last post. Something big is brewing about her parents.

PS: She was a pop singer in China under the name Chole Wang. (dad is Chinese, mom, American).

ETA: I guess Wang was her dad's name. She goes by Chole Bennet now.

Oh I got it. They've been hitting us over the head with it for the past few episodes. She is a boring character with little depth and serves mainly to be the show's emo. As stated above, put her back doing computer-hackery stuff. She's much more interesting then.
