Drew's Legacy

With all this Peyton Manning talk why is Drew Brees left out of the all time great QB talks? He also is always dropped down on the current list even though he has been probably the most dominant QB in the league for a while now. His regular season and post season numbers speak for themselves.
Brees is the guy with all the single season stats. Brees is second on the active passer's list with the records within sight.

if he wins another superbowl, I guarantee he will be

Peyton has better commercials

Because he throws a lot of picks, has only been to one SB and hasn't been dominating quite as long as Peyton or Brady. He was good pre-NO but not dominant like he is now. Brady and Peyton have been dominating since the early 2000s.

Peyton Manning is being talked about as one of the greatest of all time because he's...what...38 years old? And Drew Brees is 33 or 34? There's still time left for Drew Brees when Peyton retires.
For how awesome Drew Brees is and has been, I think he means more to the Saints and us as fans than how he ranks among NFL greats. I think he's an NFL great for sure, probably HOF numbers, but he's not the GOAT. That's nothing to be ashamed of.

Brees will possibly be top 5 in career passing yards by the end of the season. Brees isn't much different from Manning in int%.

As sad as it may seem, Drew needs another SB win to be in the conversation with Brady and Manning.

Out of the "big 4" current QB's Drew easily gets the least amount of media love.
Peyton is probably deserving of it, but there is no way you can say for sure that Brady and Rodgers are better than Brees.

That is sad, considering Manning also has 1 SB at this point. I'm not sure there is anything Drew can do... Manning is just so loved by the media.

Manning and Brady have had better careers, and Rodgers is younger. I don't think it is anything against Brees, he is just a notch below two all time greats and one guy who has a good bit more time left.
IMO Brees is probably all time top 10, but I think to even be in the conversation as top five he needs another Super Bowl win.
As others have said, he was good pre-Saints, but not fantastic. He is obviously a legend in NOLA even if his career ended today.

Manning has a terrible post season track record. He's a regular choke artist in the playoffs.

strictly discussing drew, 5 post season wins in a career is a little light.

The age argument is BS, they talk up Aaron Rodgers more then they do Brees.
I get the 1 SB argument, but unlike Manning he's never been the reason his team has lost in the playoffs. Hard to argue against a 22TD-4INT ratio in the playoffs

Brady was far from dominant before he got Moss and Welker in 2007

Right or wrong, Brees and Sean Payton are seen as a package deal, which might be where the "disrespect" comes from compared to Brady and Peyton.

And so is Brady and Belicheck. Hell, Matt Cassel won 11 games under Belicheck.
