ESPN - 3

The Saints' defense has held all three opponents this season to 17 points or fewer. New Orleans allowed 17 points or fewer in three games all last season.
NFL - 4

Here's a fun football question: How many wins is Sean Payton worth in a season? Three? Seriously, hit me up @Harrison_NFL; I'm curious to see if you think I'm overreacting.
Payton doesn't coach the defense, but that unit sure is interested in playing for him and defensive coordinator Rob Ryan. Next up: Hosting the 3-0 Dolphins on Monday night.
Fox - 6

The Saints are the fifth best scoring defense in the NFL right now, giving up just 12.5 points per game. But its not like the Bucs or Cardinals are extremely dangerous offenses. Let's see how they stack up against Miami, Chicago and New England the next
CBS - 4

Rob Ryan continues to impress with very little to work with, and Jimmy Graham is unstoppable.
USA Today - 3
LINK

Defensive coordinator Rob Ryan might be making a bigger impact than coach Sean Payton.
Yahoo - 3

I still expect the defense to come back to earth. But until that happens, they have to hold a very high spot in these rankings. The offense is as good as ever.
SB Nation - 5
LINK
quote:
Only two teams in the NFC have allowed fewer points than the Saints. Not bad for a defense that was supposed be an afterthought this season. How long can they keep this up?
PFT - 4

When the Dolphins come to town next week, they should get the key to the city for not offering Drew Brees a contract in 2006.

Screw this guy. He's gonna learn Monday that we're the truth

15. Falcons (1-2; No. 9): Having home playoff games is overrated, if you can’t win them.

The Saints played very good football and dominated the Cardinals this last week, but a big turning point will be when they face the undefeated Dolphins on the national stage. The defensive front has looked solid in the first three weeks and the pass offense rebounded after a disappointing outing in Tampa.

wow... for the Patriots to be ranked above us in a few of these...
They are overwhelmingly mediocre this year. Having Gronk back gives them a boost, but if the Saints and Pats played this week, I think we hand them their arse like in '09.
