re: After we humiliate Georgia, again

The only chance LSU has to win this game is to Outscore them in a shootout or Ga shoots itself in the foot.
LSU must hope for its defense to "hold up" long enough in these tough games to allow the offense to put up alot of points. If the offense is sputtering, it will be a long ugly game for LSU.

He's saying how you're holding our offense to 21
No he said this:

Sooooo, LSU "D" gives up 21 to a very mediocre AU offense and you're going to hold Georgia below 35'ish how?
..and I equated AU's offense to USCe's, which are very close...USCe ranks two spots above AU's atm...
I see LSU's offense keeping UGA's defense on the field moreso than vice versa.

No complaint of any kind should be made if we beat Georgia. Georgia is one of the teams we can allow 40 to and still look good winning. They're a very good team.

I'm convinced that after we stop Gurley - despite our "Gurley will have a field day with our defense" "fans" - the next rallying call will be "Manziel will have a field day with our defense."
But, to be honest, they're running out of things to complain about, so it's really unpredictable what they'll come up with next.

meh, we haven't really played a QB like Aaron Murray this year. Sure, he can move a little. But, we don't have to worry about them running the spread. That alone will change our entire defensive attack. IMO, nothing we've seen about our defense can be projected into this game. Our DEs don't have to worry about containment any more, along with our LBs. So, we'll be able to attack more. Better pressure on the QB is going to make our DBs look way better too. We're going to shock people and dominate with our D.
I agree with all of this.

quote:i think that is a legit concern with how our defense has fared against teams which run an offense with a more mobile QB. Now, I think we have the athletes to keep him somewhat in check. But, I think that A&M scores more on us than UGA.

UGA still fail to realize Murray is horrible in the big game. what is it 2-15 in his career against top 15 teams?

Watch the USCe game when Clowney gave up containment and slammed inside. Murray was able to roll out and find an open receiver on at least two touchdown throws

Are you kidding?
We only watch our games and highlights to determine the outcome.

We have allowed over 30 pts only 3 times in last 4 years, and twice it was to Ole Miss (Fluke)..it's tough for anyone to score over 30 on us. The best way to do it from what I've gathered (Ole Miss) is to sneak up on us. UGA certainly won't do that.

I think everyone does that. I was only trying to argue the point about the d ends not having to worry about contain anymore.

Does not compute.

Unlike USCe, you will not see arguments between the Chief and other LSU AC's. They don't even know how to use Clowney properly in Columbia.

I was being sarcastic. You are exactly right.
Murray's "failure" in big games is in the past. Every season and every game is new.
At least he's played in big games.
What's Mett's record in big games?
ATM-win
Alabama-loss
Clemson-loss
What else?
And to say we haven't given up 30 points in the last 4 years is silly. This is 2013, not 2011.

A little levity to the Rant is a good thing.
