You can still get 'em around $4-5/lb if you're willing to drive to Dulac or Leeville or Delcambre. They're less than $8/lb at most area seafood markets. Grocery stores have a stupid markup and inferior quality.

yea prices are all over the place right now in BR.

16-20ct at calandros, $13/lb
heads and tails, $12/lb

i did get a few pounds from la boilers the other day. they were having a special on 16-20 head on for $5/lb

Shrimpers aren't catching much yet and import levels are also low. When the stronger cold fronts start, the catch should go up.
