Went last night and had a great meal. Here are some thoughts in case anyone cares.
Got there a little but after 7 and were seated right away despite being early. The restaurant looks great and got a nice table by the window overlooking magazine. We thought about getting a table outside since the weather was so nice but finally decided against it.
Following R2R's recommendation, I had the braised beef short ribs with spicy cucumbers and fried peanuts. Best thing I had all night, the meat just melted in your mouth and the cucumbers gave it a little kick without overpowering it. The wife had the hand-made spaghetti with crab and arugula and it was also delicious; nothing beats fresh pasta.
Almost every entree sounded delicious but I finally opted for the paneed rabbit. Urinetrouble recommended it and i couldn't recall ever having rabbit, so I went for it. It was very good although a tad oily. The portion size made up for it though as it was noticeably larger than any other plate we had that night, including my wife's entree. She had the fish special which was grouper topped with crab.the fish was great but she wished she had a little more for the price.
We finished our meal with a couple of desserts. I had the butterscotch pudding and the wife chose the peach upside-down cake. Felt strange ordering pudding at such a nice restaurant, but I got to admit it was a damn good pudding. Was served in a small mason jar, which was a nice touch. My wife's cake was also good and was served with a really good orange blossom ice cream.
Overall, we had a great time and would definitely go back. The plates are a tad expensive for the size (other than the rabbit), but it's hard to complain much when the food is of such high quality.
