The refs are employed by the conference not the NCAA. The PAC 12 admitted the refs screwed up and sent an apology letter to Wisconsin.

Also, the PAC12 does not allow any out of conference team to bring their officials to a PAC12 home game. Every other conference lets the officials from the opposing conference officiate the game.

Sorry about that. Enjoy the rest of your year with a loss on your record.

If you go the rest of the year undefeated and are kept out of the national championship because of this game.... we'll be sorry about that too.
Thankfully, Oregon or Stanford will probably benefit for you being left out.
