1) Get there as late as possible. Forget about tailgating at the stadium. It's way too dangerous. Taking a bus to the stadium is a really good way to get there.
2) Park in a lot that is protected by security. Also, it is better to go in a car that is devoid of any stickers or anything that would identify you as an Auburn fan. One other thing, make sure your car insurance is up to date, a rental car is advisable and get the insurance, or better yet, like I said, take a bus.
3) Try to be invisible entering and leaving the stadium. Do not try to talk to the LSU fans. Obnoxious does not even begin to explain these guys after they have been sitting around drinking all afternoon.
4) Leave the game as soon as you can and get out of town. Don't event think about sticking around in Baton Rouge unless you are looking for a fight.
5) If we should win, run to your car and leave even faster. Celebrate in New Orleans, Hattiesburg or somewhere else a long way from there.
6) Lastly, take a change of clothes. It is hot down there, there is no circulation in that stadium and since they fully enclosed it, it is much worse. Also, the chances of getting something thrown on you is high, particularly leaving the stadium. We always take another shirt along just in case.
The LSU fans are not what you would call hospitable. That might be the worst place I've ever been to a game. It certainly ranks in the bottom 2, and I can't remember what might be in there with them. I don't go down there any more. I enjoy the games, but it isn't worth what you have to put up with.

This is funny. I have been to every SEC campus for football and the only place I have ever had any vandalism done to my car was in Auburn.

So, it is much hotter than when the horseshoe was enclosed in 1953
