Not when you consider how many readers SI has lost over the years. Close to 50 percent since 2007. They are a few more years away from bankruptcy. Even got split off from Time Inc because they were bringing them down.
SI is shite out of luck regardless. They're grasping for straws now.

I get that they were bleeding readers but they still had integrity for the most part.
They "could" have become a legit investigative media source and hoped quality work saved them with online readers.
Now their credibility is gone forever.
