Depends on what you like.
I love Cali and Titos Cubano sandwich and it is byob. But it is a pretty quirky establishment and packed on football Saturdays.
For more upscale fare, 5 and 10 or The National. I adored Farm 255, but I believe the owners decided to close it. They used to project games on the wall which made it a great post game place to eat
Out of downtown, I like Mirkos Pasta. It is on the Eastside or used to be.
Honestly, the best meal in Athens is brunch and you really can't go wrong with mamas boy, heirloom, 5 and 10, big city bread, and plenty of others. Honestly, I would die happy if I could brunch for every meal
As for drinking, my favorites were the globe, trapeze, and the royal peasant which is in 5 points and more of a neighborhood bar than is usually lower key than the downtown bars. That last one will usually have Saturday am premiere league if that us your thing.
I haven't been to the roof terrace yet of the GA Theatre, but that might be an interesting vantage point on Saturday.
