He certainly didn't appear to be in supreme fighting shape for the Pacquiao fight.
He was severely weight drained for that fight. He weighed in at 145 and came into the ring at 147 30 hours later.
He was fighting at a weight he hadn't been at in 10 years.

I've said this before, but Oscar will be the next great boxer to have a biopic.

I'm definitely not a boxing guru, and I don't think Mayweather's boring. I think his defense is an art form. He seems to know what tactic to employ at the proper time. When he hits people it seems like nothing until you look at the replay and see that he really nailed the guy. He makes great adjustments to fighters and really begins to dominate them towards the end of the fight.

People sometimes forget that boxing itself is "art"...hit your opponent/don't get hit in return.
Don't get me wrong, I love a good slugfest....but "boxing" is what you see when you watch Floyd Mayweather, Bernard Hopkins, etc. Those guys have mastered the art.
Damn I'm pumped for this card. What's amazing is before we even get to the main event, we get Garcia-Matthysse which will be a great, great fight.

I believe this is the second time in the last year that he's gone to rehab for alcohol/cocaine or whatever. This is really an F U to Canelo because Oscar is the one who's held him by the hand for many years and pumped him up to the boxing world and called him the next big thing.....and now, just before the biggest fight of his pro career, Oscar bails on him and goes to rehab. Honestly, Oscar knows Canelo is gonna get his arse whipped and he doesn't wanna be there to face it. Otherwise, he would have waited another week before leaving.
You don't know nothing about rehab then. It can't wait a week. It demands today. Every person who is dosing themselves silly is on the edge of a cliff and hardly ever recognize that they are about to fall for the last time. Good for Oscar. Sometimes, you gotta do you.
