I assumed he wasn't invited - based on your reply in this thread, as well as his production last year, which to be fair was meager. Turns out he was invited (see TigerattheU's link).

Dude, it came out on the news that he wasnt invited, it wasnt til later that it was said that Mett was too busy studying.

There was a thread on here during the camp that Mett "no showed." That's why the academic obligations came out. He was included as a participant leading up to the camp.
There's also no mention here of the Sugar Bowl's involvement in the award. Their staff is likely the ones making these weekly watches since you have to Like them on Facebook to vote.
