Memphis, I know about Brian Wallace and our interest in him, but do you know if the staff will push for Roderick Johnson and whether he might have interest? Judging by his 247 profile, looks like FSU leads and we aren't mentioned.

I think we end up pushing for Johnson first, but wouldn't be surprised if we push for Wallace first. FSU also leads for Damien Prince so I could see Johnson not joining FSU's class since LT is the money making position for OL, so as an elite guy you could hinder yourself joining a class with a franchise type LT, like cam rob & prince both are.
But prince may be a guy that doesn't care about that stuff and just wants to play football and let everything else take care of itself.
I like Wallace's tape and think we could get him if we pressed for him. Also wouldn't be shocked if we go JUCO

Thanks Memphis! Would absolutely love to land RJ but would also be happy with Wallace.

As far as next year goes everyone needs to slow down and look at our current roster.

Vadal A and Trai Turner are both just sophomores. Porter may or may not go pro. I'd say not. La'el will prob be gone and Hawkins slides over. If Porter leaves then Malone, Dodd OR Pocic take over there because Evan Washington is in the two deep right now and will be a SR next year and will prob take over at RT given Porter leaves and the coaches stick with Pocic at C (which I think is unlikely). Then you have Clapp and Brumfield coming in along with Boutte already there to provide quality depth along with others. We also can't forget about 6'8 333lb Edinburgh and that Vadal could also slide back out to tackle too if need be. We're fine. At least for next year!

Not concerned so much about next season. We look good, even if Collins leaves after this year. For me, the need is for beyond next season. Typically, you don't want to rely on true freshmen to play much on the OL. It's about getting guys in the system and preparing them for down the road a little.

He could...He's a junior...ya never know. They see 5 or 6 digits in the money column and their eyes get wide. Use this past year as an example

He'd be the Tharold "I know I'm not getting drafted high, but I need the $" Simon exception to all of the (non running back) early exits we had. I would be floored if he left, unless he really shows out against UF and Bama's D line, which I hope he proves me wrong, but I don't see happening. I think there is a reason that Pocic cross trained at Center.

Braden Smith Olathe, KS
not offered by LSU, but is the complete opposite of Cam physically, Braden looks like he actually stepped inside a weight room. I think a lot depends in the season Collins has, if he is a potential top 10 pick, I think some of these high profile guys are going to give the tigers a look in January and February.
