I thought the offense looked pretty darn good last night but I was curious if anyone else noticed JC was not in for a significant number of snaps during the game? Was he hurt or did he get pulled for missed blocking assignments?

I think Connor Neighbors did well in his place I just enjoy watching Copeland take it to the opposing D and set the tone for the smashmouth brand of the LSU running game we have all become accustomed to!!

Noticed JC missing in the 3Q...haven't heard any explanation yet.

Neighbors got some reps last year too

Copelands snap count was low because of how successful out passing game was, we ran a ton of 3/4/5 WR sets and other sets with two Runningbacks in the backfield

Well I love watching JC lead blasting defenders.

Me too....I noticed he missed a few of his blocks on a couple of plays and somehow got blown up in the hole on a run play on our first possession.

Oh we'll it's the first game of the season, Mett looked like a new qb, we racked up 440+ yards on a top 10 D & scored 37 on the road.....I am excited about what is to come & watching JC get back to throwing around defenders like a ragdoll or like Ike on Tina!!!!

Copeland is a beast, but he just seems to not read his blocks very well IMO. I think we look better when the other FB is in.

In the most unlikely turn of events, he is possibly my favorite player on the roster. He just goes in there to smash shite up. I enjoy watching him obliterate people.

I noticed at one point tne rest of the offence was in a semi huddle on the sidelines and Copeland was off to the side looking elsewhere when it seemed Frank screamed at him to get focused and his head into the game. Neighbors played much more after that and Copeland did not until late in the game.

I think neighbors gives you better passing catching ability out the back field. I think LSU just adjusted cause TCU was stuffing the run.
